What We Do
Since its beginning in 2002, Hope for the Destitute has ministered to HIV/AIDS orphaned children to help them become Disciples of Christ. Hope for the Destitute helps the orphaned children attain a Christian-based education, assists with any health issues, reaches out to their community with the Gospel of Christ, supports their efforts to become self-sufficient, and challenges them to help rid Africa of HIV/AIDS through faith, sexual purity and marital fidelity. With the prayers and generous support of Christian churches and individuals, Hope for the Destitute is able to reach out to the suffering children and share the love of Jesus. Home Based Care

Farm Project
The farm project was started with the intent that Hope for the Destitute will be self-sustainable with the local resources the Lord has provided. We plan to purchase 30 acres of farmland, a tractor, plow, trailer and other farm equipment. [Read More...]
Catechetical Seminar
As a faith-based organization, we not only want to educate orphaned children, but also teach them to grow as children of God, be baptized and confirmed. These seminars teach the children the Word, the Catechism, and how to cope with life. [Read More...]
Widow Shelter Program
When a man falls victim to AIDS, he has usually spent all of the family’s money on treatment. Many of the widows left have rundown houses. We help widows by giving them a place to lay their head, and empower them to take care of their children. [Read More...]
