Sharing Jesus Christ to local children and youth
The Catechetical Seminar is an annual one week Lutheran seminar for all of our orphans and the youths around the locality where we organize this activity. During this seminar orphans and about 300 local youths participate in learning about the Gospel. Local Lutheran pastors lead youths in both social and religious teachings and discussions. Some of our lessons include the catechism (the Lord`s prayer, the ten commandments, the sacrament), academic success, the danger of drug and substance abuse. Some are catechized, confirmed and baptized at the end of the week. We also invite former students of Hope for the Destitute to discuss their success in life after sponsorship. Through this seminar, Hope for the Destitute has been able to share the love and mercy of Jesus Christ to many families who have not heard the gospel.
